We are here to help you identify your school’s unique behavioral health, climate, and safety needs and help you secure funds to address those needs.

When awarding grants, PCCD gives priority to schools who complete assessments through a state-approved assessor.

NeuroLogic® assessments also include practical strategies and recommendations to assist your school in reaching its unique goals.

Behavioral Health and Climate Assessment

Neurologic® provides behavioral health and climate assessments (also known as school safety and security assessments). Each assessment includes:

Observations and walkthroughs of school from arrival to dismissal to obtain the day-to-day climate at your school
Policy review, including polices associated with bullying, threat assessment, school climate and behavioral health
In-person or virtual interviews with staff and administration
Review of data collection processes, including surveys and assessments
Review structure and implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) and Social-Emotional Learning into curriculum and culture
Review of trainings and professional development

All assessments come with practical recommendations to help each school meet their goals. These assessments meet all baseline criteria for best practices in accordance with Act 44 of 2018 of the Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949 and created by the School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC) within Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).
